Rex got scared and believed the pond was haunted. “I must leave this creepy place!” he howled and ran far away, never to return. The pond was safe again. All the animals cheered for Tilly. “You’re our hero!” Danny quacked. From that day on, Tilly wasn’t just the slow turtle—she was the smart and brave guardian of the pond.
