How a Lazy Goat, a Suspicious Mother-in-Law, and Free Biryani Changed an Entire Village
How a Lazy Goat, a Suspicious Mother-in-Law, and Free Biryani Changed an Entire Village
The Goat Who Didn’t Believe in Exercise
In the small village of Bhainsa-pur, there lived a goat named Golu. Golu had one mission in life: avoid movement at all costs. He was the first goat in Indian history to gain weight from staring at food. He refused to climb even small steps, and villagers had to carry him like royalty.
His owner, Chunnu Mama, often said, “This goat is like my son. Except he eats more and earns less.” Chunnu hoped Golu would someday be sold for a decent price. Instead, Golu once accidentally joined a wedding procession, was mistaken for the bride’s uncle, and given a garland and rasgulla.
He didn’t protest. Free sweets are free sweets.
The Mother-in-Law Who Trusted No One (Not Even the Ceiling Fan)
Meanwhile, in the same village, lived Sunita Aunty—the Sherlock Holmes of Bhainsa-pur. She suspected everyone. When her daughter-in-law gave her tea, she sniffed it like a bomb squad dog. When her son smiled at his phone, she asked if he was texting the vegetable seller romantically.
One day, she suspected Golu the goat of smuggling mangoes out of her garden. Golu was sleeping under a tree with a mango peel stuck to his chin, so technically… not wrong.
Sunita Aunty declared war. She installed CCTV (Actually just her nephew Dinesh hiding in a tree with binoculars and a notebook).
III. The Free Biryani Festival That Went Horribly (and Hilariously) Wrong
To bring peace, the village panchayat declared a Free Biryani Day. The plan was simple: everyone gets one plate. Golu the goat overheard this (he only responded to two words: “free” and “food”).
On the day of the event, Golu arrived early, disguised as a dog (a bad disguise: he wore sunglasses and barked once, then coughed for 10 minutes). Still, he got three plates before anyone noticed.
Sunita Aunty, convinced Golu was a shape-shifting food thief, chased him with a slipper in one hand and WhatsApp in the other, recording everything for “evidence.”
In the chaos, half the village started chasing Golu, thinking it was part of the festival. The goat ran straight into the temple, tripped, knocked over a bell, and somehow got engaged to another goat named Sheila.
Moral of the Story:
Never underestimate a lazy goat, a suspicious aunty, or the power of free biryani.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
