The Generous Tree: A story about a tree which gives everything whatever his friend asks

The Friendship

In a peaceful village, a young boy befriended a tall, strong tree. The boy would play around the tree, climb its branches, and rest in its shade. The tree loved the boy and was always happy to see him.


The Sacrifice

As the boy grew older, he visited the tree less often. One day, the boy came to the tree, looking sad. "I need money," he said. The tree offered its apples, which the boy sold for money. Years later, the boy returned, needing a house. The tree offered its branches, which the boy used to build a house. Even later, the boy came back, needing a boat. The tree offered its trunk, which the boy used to build a boat.

The Lesson

Finally, the boy, now an old man, returned to the tree. "I have nothing left to give," said the tree. The old man replied, "I just need a place to rest." The tree, now a stump, offered its remains as a seat. The old man sat down, and the tree was happy.

The moral of the story is: True generosity and love are selfless, and they bring happiness to both the giver and the receiver.
