Who is Mother Who is Daughter – Merchant Question: Child and Mother's relationship. Heart Touching story


The Confused Merchant:




Once a merchant bought two cows to King’s palace. Both bows were same in appearance.

Merchant said to King, “Maharaj! These two cows are mother and daughter but i don’t know who is mother and who is daughter.

I asked this to people at many places but no one coul
d identify the mother and daughter between two.

Later, someone told me that your minister is very intelligent and here i will definitely get answer to my question.”

Worried Minister:

On hearing this, minister got up and went toward the cows. He inspected both of them deeply but couldn’t identify who is who. Minister was stuck in big dilemma. He asked for a day’s time.

King agreed.

Minister went home. He looked upset. When his wife saw this, she asked him reason for his trouble. Minister told her everything.

Hearing this, wife said, “I can tell. 

”Next day, minister took his wife to palace where both cows were tied.

Minister Wife's Cleverness:

Minister wife, kept food in front of both cows. After cows ate, she told them who was mother and who was daughter.

King asked how she was able to recognize them.

Minister wife said, “After i put food in front of them, first cow finished her food quickly, she started eating food of second cow and second one left her food for first one.

Only a mother can do this, therefore, second one is mother. Only a mother can stay hungry for the child. Only a mother has the qualities of sacrifice, compassion, affection, motherhood.”
